Tony & Nick

Welcome to the Paisano’s View of the World. Nick and I served in the United States Air Force together. He was a squadron commander and I was a section chief in an aircraft maintenance squadron. Folks who serve together in the military have a special friendship and bond the most civilians don’t and can’t understand. We can go months or years without seeing each other but when we get together, there is nothing but love and respect. Aircraft maintainers also can be a little gruff, rough around the edges, a little hard of hearing, probably caused by the atmosphere and conditions we operated in.

Nick and I have had many conversations over the years on a variety of different topics and we thought we would share them with the rest of the world. These topics vary from politics, sports, military and just general life topics. We will use this blog to share our views and hopefully you will find them informative, humorous and insightful or you may not like them at all. We welcome all points of views and there will be those who agree and disagree but in the end, let all be respective of everyone’s view no matter what side of the aisle you reside on.

  1. Welcome everyone. Looking forward to the lively discussion. This whole blog thing started from a discussion that Tony and I had after seeing and responding to several FB posts. I had been saving notes of things that bother me, with the intention of writing a book. Then I read a few of Tony’s responses to other FB posts. Between my family telling me to stop answering inaccurate political comments on FB and reading some of Tony’s response, a blog was the way to go.

Tony & I are learning this blog thing, so everything won’t be perfect from the start. Just relax and take it all in. We are hoping to have several categories such as politics, driving, sports, favorite quotes & humility/humanity that we will post our opinions in. We welcome yours, but remember as the great RBG and Justice Scalia said, we are here to debate the subject not the individual. We can still be friends and not agree.

This is going to be fun!
