I always like to see the knee jerk reactions to current events, especially on Facebook. There was an attempted assassination of former President Trump over the weekend, and it didn’t take more than an hour for the Trumpers to show up online to express their disdain. Now, before I attempt to put all this in context, let me just say, political violence has no place in our republic, I believe both sides of the political world need to take in down a few notches and deal with the issues that plague America and gun violence is certainly one of them but let’s do it on the debate stage and not with a gun!
With that said, let’s get to the responses I saw, most of them I should all came from the right leaning, conservative world. My first question to these folks is, “What color is the sky in your world?”
One of the first responses I saw was from I guy I use to work with who stated, “he will unfriend anyone who doesn’t think what happened is awful”. The folks who rally against being woke and cancel culture will cancel your friendship because of your opinion. Another guy I know blamed the “left leaning” media for the coverage of it, this is hysterical, I’m guessing he’s never watched OAN, Newsmax or Fox news to watch the Donald Trump lovefest they conduct daily. The last guy who’s running for political office in upstate Pennsylvania stated the Donald Trump is comparable to George Washington and that every Democrat should be voted out of office, yeah because there’re the ones who are trying to overthrow elections based on a lie and trying to put religion into our everyday life because religion hasn’t caused enough problems in society. These folks make my head hurt!
Let me remind some of you folks on the right your actions and responses to violence and their lack of empathy for anyone:
I remember, they mocked and made fun of Paul Pelosi being attacked in his home.
I remember, the attempted kidnapping and murder of Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer.
I remember, telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by”.
I remember, that there were “very fine people” in Charlottesville were a women was killed.
I remember, that one in six election officials have received death threats on themselves and their families for doing their job, all caused by a lie.
I remember, MTG calling for former President Obama’s execution and Paul Gosar posting a comic strip killing AOC.
I remember, January 6th, when our capitol, lawmakers and capital police were attacked by Trump supporters, all based on a lie.
I remember, all the women who have faced violence with Trump’s own hands.
Senator JD Vance took about 5 seconds to claim it was Joe Biden’s rhetoric that caused this violent attempt on Trump’s life. Representative Mike Collins claimed President Biden ordered the hit. It’s hard to figure out which version of Joe Biden exist; in the Republican world he goes from being a guy in cognitive decline to a criminal mastermind in the blink of an eye!
Republicans love to quote the Bible, so here is a great quote to fit our current situation:

Personally, I reminded of another quote that I believe sums up Republicans, “I love people who sow their oats all week and then go to church on Sunday and pray for crop failure”.
Funny this came across my page somehow,even after YOU kicked me off. Know I Still pray for you but had to say hello and to assure you I’m Not Gutless (but am tolerant) you seem to still be conflicted I remember you spouting ‘I wonder if anyone in the Trump orbit sees the irony in posting on “X” former President Trump’s mugshot with the subtitle “Never surrender” as he was surrendering to the authorities in Georgia.
The former president’s stats were 6’3 and 215 pounds which was the same weight Ali was during the Ali-Foreman fight. Look at these two pictures, it’s like they are identical in size & weight. The man can’t even tell the truth about his height and weight.
Not to worry though, when the eight Republican candidates were ask on stage Wednesday night if they would still support a convicted felon for president, 7 out of 8 said yes! The cult keeps drinking the kool-aid. AND I LOVE THIS ONE

Ever want to really have a discussion we could talk aboutI the horror of the past 3.5 yrs, beginning with Biden’s lying past – then we have Him Dividing the country calling people nazi’s / paying off Iran / his involvement with the dosier / riots from BLM & Ferguson / bullshit impeachments / unsecure borders / increased crime / DoJ attack on personal liberties ala Christians (Mark Houck) / parents and school boards / embracing transgender unisex bathrooms / covid fisaco shutting down with mask mandates people losing jobs (military) who refused Vax /trying to pay off student loans / attack on women attacking Title IX – male playing female sports/ Afghanistan fiasco leaving personnel and equipment to the Taliban. Possible family corruption brides – Hunter’s laptop. I will give BOTH BIDEN & TRUMP credit we CAN heal this country when we stop this vile rehetoric and just talk facts and vision for the future. Suddenly lying is a barometer for Republicans, your candidate lies about once every 5 mins. Your candidate has Laura Loomer, Tucker Carlson, Marge Greene and just about every racist and nazi sympathizer in his camp, police your own party! Covid started under Trump, he mishandled the response and tanked the economy and then dropped it in Biden’s lap, hmm, not like that happens very often, oh wait, 2008 Republicans in charge, the worst financial meltdown ever, dropped in Obama’s lap to fix. As far as Biden’s corruption, still waiting for Comer to produce the evidence, if he produces some on Biden, convict him, and Hunter is not in the Biden administration. The Afghanistan withdraw was carried out under Trump’s agreement, Trump allowed 5000 Taliban to be released, the Afghan government had no say in the transition, sad day losing those soldiers, broke my heart but anyone who served over there, knew we were never leaving unscathed. As far as your social issues go, all you Christians and Catholics you hooked your wagon to the Trump train and all the warts that go with it, your party lowered the bar. I remember some of the nonsense I learned in Catholic school and if you folks think Trump is God’s messenger, then you’ll understand why I am an atheist! One more thing, my daughter-in-law had an abortion a 2 year and half years ago, an ectopic pregnancy, the abortion saved her life, a year later she had my grandson Ryan through IVF, all procedures your party wants to ban!
