As I watch the news all this week about all this DOGE nonsense, I thought I would take the opportunity to tell all the folks out there in the META world that you are being conned. I see the usual folks on Facebook and Instagram just giddy with all this propaganda and thought I would educate them as I worked my last few years with the government in the government contracting field.
Elon Musk has absolutely no authority to dismiss, RIF or fire any government employee. Reductions on Force (RIF) comes from OPM and there are rules the need to be followed on this, seniority and veteran’s rights are just a few that come to mind. Anyone who thinks writing five bullet statements on a piece of paper should decide your career going forward is stunningly stupid. It is amazing to me that two guys, Trump and Musk who never worked a real job in their entire life are questioning what you do, day in and day out in service to this country. All my previous co-workers who work tirelessly at your jobs, I appreciate all your efforts in supporting our warfighters! My recommendation, go get yourselves a good labor attorney and fight these fools. The lawsuits alone with add up to millions and the government will not have a leg to stand on.
I went onto the DOGE website and randomly picked two contracts they say saved the taxpayers millions. The first one I picked was from the USDA, PIID 12FPC222F0160. The contract was awarded in Sept/2022 for 8.2 million dollars. DOGE claims on their site to have saved the 8.2 million but 3.4 million has already been spent and the rest of the funds are already obligated. I picked another USDA contract for a smaller amount, PIID 12319824F0053, total contract was for 264,000 of which 16,587 was already paid and the rest is obligated. Musk and his band of programmers have no idea what they are looking at or the damage they are inflicting, much like his boss, Musk is out there lying like a rug!

One of the more alarming things about this DOGE program is that Elon Musk is a contractor with 20 billion dollars of government contracts, yet he is going around and dismissing personnel and saying contracts should be cancelled. Its’ been a while since I have some training on this but that seems to be a conflict of interest that we were always warned about.
Oh, one other thing, Elon came here on a student visa to attend Stanford. He never enrolled therefore he was here illegally. I wonder if ICE is aware of this or maybe someone could notify Vice-President Trump when he returns from his golf weekend, I’m sure it’s just an oversight on Elon’s part.
Folks, I know there is plenty of waste in the government and there is a right way to weed it out. DOGE is not the answer, but it seems this will be around for a bit. As I stated last week, the media has lost its way, they should be all over this reporting, but it seems they have been muted. Representatives and senators both know this is wrong but there is not one especially on the republican side who will stand up for this injustice and that is a pity!
